Mountain View man arrested for allegedly inappropriately touching teenage girl

Post Date:09/22/2022

A Mountain View man has been arrested in connection with inappropriately touching a teenage girl earlier this year.

Last week, officers met with the victim, who we are not identifying, after she disclosed that an adult male who formerly rented a room from family she lived with allegedly touched her inappropriately in late spring 2022. Recently the adult man, identified as 28-year-old Luis Garcia Aldaco of Mountain View, followed her while she walked to school, tried to hug her and contact her even though she had explicitly asked him not to do so.

While Garcia Aldaco had previously lived with the victim’s family, he has no relation to them.

On Thursday, September 22, Garcia was arrested without incident in Los Gatos. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with a child, felony sexual battery and assault with intent to commit a sex crime.

Detectives are concerned that Garcia may have additional victims given his employment as a delivery driver.

Anyone who may know someone else who is a victim of Garcia, or who may be a victim themselves, can contact Officer Pablo Donato atpablo.donato@mountainview.gov

Media inquiries can be sent to PIO Katie Nelson at policepio@mountainview.gov.
