Please join us in congratulating Detective Robert Medina, who has been promoted to Sergeant. He will be our newest patrol sergeant, and we cannot wait to see him in action serving our community!

Rob began his career in the private sector right here in Mountain View before he briefly worked for the San Jose Police Department. We were fortunate to hire Rob in 2014, and in his time with us, he has been a patrol officer, a Crimes Against Person detective and a Regional Auto Theft Task Force detective. He also serves on our SWAT team, our Gang Suppression Team and he is also one of our Field Training Officers, helping train new police officers. He was awarded the 2019 Inner Perspectives Leadership award, the Crime Stoppers 2019 award, and the Home Town Hero award.
