As of Sunday, March 19, Pacific Gas and Electric informed the City of Mountain View crews are onsite installing a new power transformer. PG&E estimates the power will be restored to the Monta Loma Neighborhood later this evening.

The City of Mountain View has resources available to assist residents and visitors while power is out. Those without power seeking a place to charge their electronics and access to Wi-Fi on Sunday, March 19, can visit the following City facilities:

  • Mountain View Public Library (585 Franklin St.) – 1 - 5 p.m. (All ages)
  • Mountain View Community Center (201 S. Rengstorff Ave.) – 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m. (All ages)

If you or someone you know needs additional assistance as a result of the prolonged loss of power, contact the City’s Emergency Operations Center at 650-903-6103. Needs will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and resources will be provided as they are available.
