Mountain View detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred in the downtown area early Sunday that injured a man and a woman.

Around 2 am on March 7, officers responded to the area of Villa and Wild Cherry Lane for reports that a fight had occurred and that two people were injured. When officers arrived, they found a man and a woman suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds. A suspect was not located.

Both victims were taken to an area hospital for treatment. Late Sunday morning, officers responded back to the area and have briefly closed off the 800 block of Villa Street for further investigation.
