An argument at a bus stop on Jan. 12 led to one man being stabbed.

Post Date:01/15/2021 7:57 p.m.

A 19-year-old Mountain View man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that seriously injured another man Tuesday afternoon.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 12, officers responded to reports of a man suffering from a stab wound to the chest who had just walked into the El Camino Hospital emergency room.

The man, a 20-year-old Mountain View resident, was subsequently taken to a different area hospital treatment for emergency surgery, and he is subsequently recuperating.

Detectives and officers immediately began an investigation into the case, and identified 19-year-old Salvador Lee as the suspect. We learned during our investigation that Lee and the victim got into an argument at a bus stop on the 400 block of North Shoreline Boulevard when the stabbing occurred.

Lee was arrested early Wednesday morning at his residence in Mountain View. He was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.

We believe this case to be an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the public.
