Mountain View, Calif. — At the Monday, Jan. 30 special meeting, the Mountain View City Council appointed Emily Ann Ramos to fill the vacant Council seat. Ramos was among the 10 Mountain View residents who sought the at-large appointment to the 7-member Council.

The swearing-in of the new Councilmember is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 14 meeting.

The vacancy was created by the resignation of former Councilmember Sally J. Lieber due to her recent election to the California State Board of Equalization. The appointed Councilmember will hold the seat for the remainder of the term, which expires January 2025.
