A 29-year-old man was shot and killed on Reinert Road on Sunday, Aug. 20. 

Mountain View, Calif. - A Mountain View man has been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of another man early Sunday morning.

On Aug. 20 just after 9 am, Mountain View dispatchers received calls of gun shots heard on the 2000 block of Reinert Road. Officers immediately responded to the area and found a man lying in the driveway of an apartment complex. The man, identified as a 29-year-old Mountain View resident, suffered at least one gunshot wound and was declared dead at the scene. We are not naming the victim at this time.

A second man was found at the complex and detained for questioning. The man, identified as 23-year-old Mountain View resident Juan Rodriguez, was later arrested on suspicion of murder. A gun was recovered at the scene and there are no outstanding suspects.
