The community is invited to the grand opening and dedication of Mountain View’s newest park, Fayette Park.
When: 4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18
Where: 2630 Fayette Drive, Mountain View
The 0.45-acre park site was dedicated to the City of Mountain View for park use by the developers of the Dean Apartments, Prometheus. The park features a lawn and play area with a seat wall, picnic tables and benches. Fayette Park is also home to Mountain View’s newest public art installation that features whimsical sculptures of two grazing squirrels and a lizard created by Walnut Creek artist Colin Selig.
The new park is located across from Fayette Greenway, a linear park on approximately 1.3 acres of San Francisco Public Utilities Commission property.
Fayette Park will become the 45th park to open in Mountain View.
