Mountain View Chamber of Commerce and City of Mountain View to host event on Friday, March 22
Mountain View, Calif. — The Mountain View Chamber of Commerce and the City of Mountain View are set to host the 2024 City Annual Update on Friday, March 22, at the Hyatt Centric hotel in Mountain View. Doors open at 8 a.m. with the program kicking off at 9 a.m. Breakfast will be served.
Mayor Pat Showalter and City Manager Kimbra McCarthy will provide updates on City projects, plans and accomplishments, as well as priorities for the year ahead. The theme of this year’s event is “The Mountain View of Tomorrow,” with presentations highlighting the City’s progress on major initiatives including developments in Downtown, enhancement of the City’s parks and infrastructure, and serving the most vulnerable in our community.
“The decisions and investments we make today are laying the groundwork for the Mountain View of tomorrow,” said Mayor Showalter. “We continue to work on bold and transformative initiatives that will ensure Mountain View continues to be a wonderful place to live, work and play. Being a ‘Community for All’ takes effort, which this year’s City Annual Update will highlight.”
McCarthy will provide an overview of the City’s actions and highlight what’s in store for 2024 and beyond.
“The City was recently recognized for our sustainability and climate resiliency efforts, as well as leading the way in making it easier to develop housing across income levels ,” McCarthy said. “The year ahead involves many exciting plans to move the community forward from downtown improvements and small business support to the opening of a new aquatics center.”
