Post Date:05/09/2021 3:30 p.m.

One man has been arrested in connection to a stabbing that occurred early Sunday morning at the Sports Page Bar and Grill.

Around 1:30 am, officers responded to the 1400 block of Shoreline Boulevard for reports of a man who had been stabbed and that security officers at the restaurant were following a possible suspect in the incident on foot. According to callers, the suspect had walked away from the scene after the stabbing had occurred.

Officers responding to the area located the suspect, identified as 29-year-old Pleasanton resident Ronald Ferrari, and detained him without incident.

The victim, a 19-year-old East Palo Alto man, was taken to an area hospital with one stab wound to his upper body. He is expected to survive. A knife used in the incident that was discarded by the suspect was subsequently found by MVPD K9 Thor.

Ferrari was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of attempted murder. An investigation into what led to the stabbing is ongoing.
