Latham Community Garden

DahliaLatham Community Garden opened in August 2019 on the corner of Shoreline Blvd and Latham Street. The .8-acre property has eighty-four (84) plots, each 6ft wide by 18ft long. Six of the plots are ADA compliant and reduced rate plots are available for low-income families.

All plots are currently filled. To be added to the waitlist, send an email with your full name, mailing address and phone number to gardens@mountainview.gov.

 

Willowgate Community Garden

PathThe Willowgate Community Garden is our hidden gem located at the end of Andsbury Avenue. The garden is comprised of 130 individual plots. Plot sizes vary. 

All plots are currently filled. To be added to the waitlist, send an email with your full name, mailing address and phone number to gardens@mountainview.gov.

 

Senior Center Community Garden

GrapesThe Senior Center Community Garden serves the senior community of Mountain View. Located down the street from the Mountain View Senior Center, on Escuela Avenue between Crisanto Avenue and Villa Street, the garden contains 63 individual plots. All gardeners must be at least 55 years old and residents of Mountain View. Currently, all of the plots are reserved and there is a substantial waitlist.

To be added to the waitlist, send an email with your full name, mailing address, phone number, and date of birth to Alejandra.Hernandez@mountainview.gov.

Community Garden Procedures and Guidelines

All gardeners agree to abide to the Final Guidelines and Procedures.

Additional Information

Only Mountain View residents aged 18 or older are eligible for a garden plot. Only one plot is allowed per family residing at the same address. Families may only have one plot at either Willowgate Garden, the Senior Garden, or Latham Garden.

Demonstration Garden at Heritage Park

Demonstration Garden at Heritage ParkThe Demonstration Garden at Heritage Park, located at 771 North Rengstorff Avenue, is a true Community Garden that is operated by Soil&Water, a non-profit volunteer-led organization. Unlike other plot-based gardens in Mountain View, the garden at Heritage Park is a shared urban garden.

Soil&Water, along with volunteers and the community, create the space and share its harvest. Community events and learning opportunities will take place through out the year led by Soil&Water.
