• 2018 International Property Maintenance Code with Mountain View City Code amendments
• 2022 California Referenced Standard Code
• 1997 Uniform Code for Abatement of Dangerous Buildings

The Mountain View Green Building Code (MVGBC) and local Reach Codes, amends the State-mandated California Green Building Code (CalGreen) to include local green building standards and requirements for private development. The MVGBC applies green building requirements per building type and threshold to new construction, residential additions and commercial/industrial tenant improvements.

If you are planning to submit an application for a construction permit, the 2022 Mountain View Green Building and Reach Codes applies to permits submitted January 1, 2023 or later. Please use the following forms:

• Residential (in PDF or Excel)

For permits submitted between January 1, 2020 and December 31, 2022, the 2019 Mountain View Green Building and Reach Codes apply with the following forms:

• Commercial/Mixed-Use
• Residential
