Teen-Friendly Business Award
The Teen-Friendly Business Program was introduced in 2012 by the Youth Advisory Committee. The Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) is composed of middle school and high school students that represent Mountain View youth in our local government. YAC members advise City Council and City Staff on issues that effect youth as well as coordinate activities for youth and teens.
Through the Teen Friendly Business Program, youth have the opportunity to nominate and vote for local businesses that are “teen-friendly” by maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for teens. Think of "teen-friendly" as welcoming, safe, going above and beyond, offering a great product, etc.
