City of Mountain View Pool Rules

The facility guidelines are set to ensure the health and safety of community members.

Aquatic staff may establish other guidelines as they see fit in various circumstances. 

FACILITY RULES:

  • All Patrons must pay the appropriate entrance fee and groups of 12+ need prior coordinator approval.
  • No alcohol/drugs, or glass of any kind. Please refrain from foods that may stain or stick to the deck.
  • Only US Coast Guard approved life jackets may be worn and no flotation devises of any kind.
  • Children under 3 must wear swim diapers and children under 44 inches must be accompanied by an adult.
  • No Running, roughhousing, hanging on lane lines, or speaking to guards while they scan the pool.
  • Showering before entering the pool is recommended.
  • Pool may close due to weather conditions if deemed unsafe by guards.
  • Patrons will follow guard directives and the Aquatics Facility Code of Conduct. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from facility.
  • Profanity of any kind is not permitted.
  • Animals are not permitted in the facility.

DIVING BOARD/DEEP POOL:

  • Those under 14 years old must take a swim test that consists of swimming one length of pool and treading for 30 seconds. A wristband will be placed on their wrist and they will be added to the master list.
  • One person on diving board at a time. After entering the water, patron must be at the ladder before next patron goes.
  • Only one bounce, no back flips and or back dives and no swimming in the diving area.
  • Diving from the side of the pool is permitted at depths of 8 ft or greater.
