School Year Docent
If you’re looking for an opportunity to be a part of a positive educational experience for children, then join the Farm’s environmental education program! Depending on your interest, you may choose to lead small groups of elementary school children around the historical homestead, explore the surrounding wilderness preserve, or dive into local history in a replica Ohlone Village. Classes are held throughout the school year on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings. Commit to three classes each month, Oct.-May. Training and curriculum are provided. Adult volunteers only.

Weekend Docent
Be an ambassador for the Farm! Weekend Docents greet the public, share information about the livestock, and encourage visitors to follow the Farm guidelines. Docents are needed one weekend day per month, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 12 - 3 p.m.

Nature Center Docent
If you are eager to share your knowledge of local natural history, then consider becoming a Nature Center Docent. The Nature Center is home to a unique display of Preserve plants and wildlife. Docents are asked to participate one weekend day per month, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. or 12 - 3 p.m.
